Those readers who knew 'the Girls' know they were irreplaceable. We miss them even today. Nevertheless, the house was too quiet without the patter of little feet so we filled the silence with two 'new' dachshunds. They were eight months and nine years old when they joined our family and like their predecessors, they came from rescue. They can't replace Heidi and Schatzi, but they have filled the house with noise and laughter. The TV hasn't been turned on in months. We have all the entertainment we need at our feet. That was a little over four years ago and now Muffin is gone. We knew that getting an 'older dog' would mean a shorter time with us, but I still believe it was a wonderfaul thing for her adn us. We still miss her very day. It was a very quick decline and one of the hardest decisions we've ever made, but we couldn't let her continue to suffer. She left for the rainbow bridge on Friday September 11th, 2015. There is more about Muffin, Sophie and 'the Girls' on their own pages.

It's going to take a while to build an interesting site, especially since my work is exceptionally demanding of my time. Hopefully you will find things of interest here and return from time to time.
